Alumina ceramic lined piping for abrasive material
CUMI Australia supplies CUMI-TUFF® alumina ceramic lined piping for wet and dry material handling. Components are fabricated to the plant specification, with ceramic tiles pre-engineered to fit the component geometry. The range extends to straight pipes, elbows, Y-pieces, reducers, cyclones and pump components.
The ceramic family includes CUMITUFF, CUMIXTRATUFF, CUMIULTRATUFF, CUMIXTREME and CUMIZIRTUFF, with tile shapes and thicknesses suited to the duty. Fabricated steel options include mild steel, stainless 304/316L and 3CR12. Material particle size, impact angle and velocity inform the ceramic selection for mining, mineral processing, power generation, cement and recycling applications.

Ceramic lined pipe: common questions
Can CUMI line components beyond straight pipe?
Yes. CUMI offers ceramic lined elbows, Y-pieces, reducers, cyclones and pump components as well as straight pipe. Components are fabricated to the plant’s specifications.
Is ceramic lined pipe used for wet or dry material?
CUMI-TUFF alumina lined piping is offered for both wet and dry material handling. The ceramic grade and component design are matched to the abrasive material and operating duty.
How is the ceramic grade selected?
Particle size, impact angle and material velocity influence the grade selection. CUMI offers several ceramic tile families, with shapes and thicknesses made to suit the specific application.
