Wear information from pipelines, plates and mill liners
2Censor wear monitoring uses a sacrificial sensing element that wears with the lining it monitors and measures wear in millimetre increments. The 2C-Probe range covers internal pipe wear and applications in wear plates, tiles and liners in chutes, hoppers and bins.
For SAG and ball mills, 2C-Mill and 2C-Strip provide liner-integrated monitoring through sensor tracks in OEM liners or wear plates. Battery-powered transmitters report through LoRaWAN to a condition dashboard. The system supports wear forecasting and maintenance alarms, and data can be delivered to an existing reporting platform rather than requiring the 2Censor dashboard.

Wireless wear sensors: common questions
What equipment can 2Censor wear sensors monitor?
The 2Censor range covers steel and HDPE slurry or tailings pipelines, chute and hopper liners, wear plates and tiles, and SAG and ball mill liners.
How do the wear sensors communicate?
Battery-powered transmitters report through LoRaWAN, a low-power wide-area radio protocol. The system sends condition information to a dashboard with wear forecasting and maintenance alarms.
Can the wear data feed an existing reporting system?
Yes. The data belongs to the customer and can be delivered to an existing reporting platform instead of the 2Censor software.
