Integrated sealing at the liner bolt hole and thread
The Kombo Washer combines a washer and nut in an interconnected assembly for mill liner bolt sealing. A non-stick elastomer with conical rings seals the bolt hole and thread to address slurry fines migrating along the thread. The assembly includes an all-steel prevailing-torque lock-nut.
The Kombo Washer is Australian designed and owned, and precision-manufactured in Germany by Flaig + Hommel. Metric and imperial sizes are available to suit mill liner bolt specifications. The compressing elastomer is designed to seal imperfect holes and uneven mill surfaces, while the one-piece configuration brings the sealing and fastening components together.

Mill liner sealing: common questions
Does the Kombo Washer seal the bolt hole or the thread?
The integrated assembly is designed to seal both the liner bolt hole and the thread. Its compressing elastomer addresses slurry fines migrating up the thread and around the bolt hole.
Are metric and imperial sizes available?
Yes. Metric and imperial Kombo Washer sizes are available to suit mill liner bolts. Supply the bolt specification so the matching assembly can be identified.
Can the seal accommodate uneven mill surfaces?
The Kombo Washer’s compressing elastomer is designed to seal imperfect holes and uneven mill surfaces. The existing bolt hole, liner and fastening specifications remain relevant when confirming the application.
